Elara Galcyon

Captain Elara Galcyon is the newly assigned CO of the USS Liberty. Although this is her first command, she brings long years of experience as a science officer and astrophysicist to the captain’s chair. Over a decorated career, she has overseen dozens of missions charting new space and studying stellar phenomena, and participated in multiple diplomatic assignments, including several key first contacts. Intelligent, thoughtful, and empathetic, Galcyon is a steady hand and a conscientious leader, committed to Starfleet’s commitment to exploration and discovery. She is aware, however, that a ship as auspicious as the Liberty has fallen to her due to the recent losses of command-level officers after Frontier Day, and is keen to prove herself through hard work and careful consideration, rather than showy displays or achievements.
