Personality

Lira is a very spontaneous girl, she comes from a traditional betazed family. She is a very open and honest person. She has a free spirit nature to her. She often struggles with time management and personal space. Even though she learned thse in the academy, its a struggle for her, non the less.

History

Early Years:

Lira as stated a few times now is a free loving spirited type of personality. On Betazed she thrived as a member of their society. She was just like most children of telepathic nature. She was fun loving, caring and eager to learn new things.

She had a great childhood. Both of her parents and her siblings all lived on Betazed. Non of them had ever considered to join Starfleet. Lira was the first in her family.

At the age of 10 she was bonded. She maintained a healthy relationship with him.

High School Years:

Lira’s high school years were uneventful, but she did get her first indications that life in Starfleet was not all sunshine and rainbows. She learned about some of the incidents going on with Starfleet. Especially about the Synth Attack and the Dominon War along with the skirmishes with the Borg.

Lira lived in a fantasy, she imagined a perfect utopia of what Starfleet was like. She started to hear how chaotic at times that Starfleet could be. Some of her instructors tried to convince her not to join Starfleet. But she was set and determined to join. She spent her high school days creating a false fantasy of what she thought Starfleet was. She heard a lot about the days of Picard and back in the 60’s. The chance to go to the stars, to explore the Federation territories and a chance to meet new races.

Lira had the grades, but she did not have the maturity level needed for Starfleet. She was almost not expected into the academy. But her grades, got her into starfleet. She was completely unpared for the academy. But she was determined to make it happen. She had a dream, and she was gonig to see it through.

Academy:

Lira as stated in her personality is a free loving spirit. She was born and raised on Betazed. She comes from a traditional family that are open and honest about everything. They share everything, and the concept of personal space and boundaries is a hard skill set for her to learn. During her time in the academy she is learning about personal space, and learning to tone down personality in order to make others feel less intimidated by her.

Lira’s family are not diplomats, they are born and raised citizens of Betazed. The reason Lira went into Starfleet, was to see the stars and to help protect the Federation from the enemies. She felt a calling to assist those, who could not assist themselves.

While attending Starfleet Academy, she thought she would be accepted into the diplomatic program or command program, but she was denied entry to either program. She was told that she lacked the necessary skill sets to hone in her immaturity.

Starfleet believed in time, she would learn to hone it in, but at this time they felt that she was not ready to be a diplomat or on a command track. They a traditional track in Starfleet would be more beneficial to her.

Lira was not pleased with this decision, so she decided to go into logistics. She assumed it would be easier program to focus on, so she could apply in a couple of years to the command program. She could not believe how hard it was to complete the program.
