History

Early Life (2333-2352)

Born on Tellar Prime, Brunak grew up in a culture known for passionate debates. His natural affinity for breaking things apart, understanding them and putting them back together sent him on his path toward becoming a capable engineer.

SS Astra Express (2352-2362)

To prove himself, at the age of 18 he signed up to serve on the civilian SS Astra Express, a Federation freighter. It was initially intended as a short contract but it became a decade long where he learnt a lot about engineering.
The Astra Express ran cargo within Federation space and occasional independent colonies outside of Federation territory. Due to it’s small crew compliment, many had to take on additional roles on the vessel, through Brunak stuck to engineering in general. Over the years on board he became the de facto Deputy Chief Engineer.
He became skilled in starship engineering and would often ‘tinker’ with improving the efficiency of the warp core. However, by the 2360s he became restless, wanting to grow and improve outside of what the civilian freighter could offer him.

Starfleet Academy (2363-2367)

He attended Starfleet Academy on Earth. His natural grumpy demeanour meant he often bumped heads with other students and even the lecturers. Though, his background meant he excelled in his classes regardless.
A naturally brilliant Starship engineer, he quickly stood above his peers, his decade on board the Astra Express clearly taught him a lot.

USS T’Kara (2367-2367)

Following graduation, he was posted to the USS T’Kara as a junior engineering officer. He quickly established himself as an integral member of the team. His prior experiences meaning even his grumpy demeanour could be easily overlooked.

Starfleet Medical/Starfleet Academy – Patient (2400-2401)

Brunak was recovered alongside many of the other crewmembers in 2400. He was offered continued service in starfleet, which he accepted. He spent the next year within rehabilitation and was retrained in modern starfleet operations. Following which, he was assigned to the USS San Clemente.

USS San Clemente (2402-Present)

Promoted to Lt (JG), he was assigned the position of Chief Engineer, a controversial choice given him being junior in rank, though his experience and natural affinity for engineering made him a perfect choice for the position.
