She is known for her ability to remain focused in the most intense of situations. However, this also means that he does sometimes appear cold and detached.

History

Early Life (2345-2365)

Rynka Korren was born on Cardassian prime. A native of Lakarian city she was raised within a family fiercely loyal to the Union. Her family has all served within the Cardassian Military at some point during their lives. However, she developed a strong fascination with the technical side of military equipment and facilities.

Military Career (2365-2375)

Korren was never going to do anything other than join the Cardassian military at the first opportunity. He family demanded it. She trained at the Cardassian Military Academy, arriving in 2355. However, instead of following her family into combat roles, she opted for the more technical role as an engineer. Rising through the ranks with relative ease, she did so out of displaying her abilities as an effective engineer as opposed to her comrades ‘cloak and dagger’ techniques of progressing.
In 2375, she was stationed back home in Lakarian city and was joined by her Husband and children, However, during the Battle of Cardassian against the Federation and their allies she was assigned off planet to assist with defending the system. The destruction of Lakarian City by the Dominion pushed her to rebel against them and she joined the liberation force to free her people from Dominion rule. She only later found out the extent of the attach on her home, finding out her husband and both children were killed along with most of the population.

Post-War Reconstruction (2375-2385)

Cardassia Prime was devastated at the end of the Federation-Cardassian war. Despite the grief of seeing her home world in disarray and losing her family, she chose not to succumb to this. She instead resigned her commission in the Cardassian military and redirected herself toward the reconstruction efforts on Cardassia Prime. She worked tirelessly to restore Cardassia Prime and installed multiple vital systems accoss the planet to assist those in need.

She remarried in 2383 and and welcomed her daughter into a fragile but hopeful new chapter of her life in 2384.

Starfleet Service (2385-2402)

A decade after the end of the Dominion Occupation of Cardassia, at 40 years old, she decided a new career was in order. She had assisted with the reconstruction efforts of her homeworld only to see many of her people returning to their old ways. She commissioned into Starfleet as an Engineering Officer in 2385.
She saw this as a way to assist in the reconstruction of the galaxy, to maintain a peace to was so hard won. Following graduation from the Academy, she served within Starfleets Corps of Engineers, going where the Federation needed them as opposed to being stuck on one starship of facility.
During that time she was able to use the experiences gained in the reconstruction of her own homeworld to set herself above her younger peers. Her reputation as an effective and trusted member of Starfleet developed.

USS San Clemente (2402-Present)

Assigned to the USS San Clemente to head up off-ship Engineering Operations. An Engineering Variant of the Class of starship means a wide range of complex and intricate tasks come their way. As such the Chief Engineer and Head of Engineering positions were split to ensure the continued operation of the vessel while on mission.

She is ideally suited to this position, having spend the latter part of her life rebuilding Cardassia following the war and occupation by the Dominion.
