Knowledge gives strength to the arm
The USS Farragut NCC-72013 is a Nebula-cass starship assigned to Task Group 99 within Task Force 72 of the Fourth Fleet, under the tactical command of Captain Michael Ayres and operational command of the Task Force 72 executive officer, Commander Aloran. The Farragut operates in the delicate grey zone between diplomacy and intelligence, where knowledge gives strength.
The Farragut is designed for missions where secrecy, adaptability, and a swift show of force can bolster the hand of the Federation in challenging negotiations. The ship carries a hanger pod housing sixteen Valkyrie-class fighters and boasts a sophisticated intelligence fusion centre deep within its decks, wielding subtle influence and decisive force when the situation calls for it.
In diplomacy, advantage is born from understanding, and understanding begins with knowledge. The Farragut exists to gather, analyse, and deploy intelligence in service of the Federation’s diplomatic objectives. Under the guidance of Commander Aloran, the ship’s intelligence fusion centre ensures that Starfleet is always forewarned and therefore forearmed, providing Task Force 72 with the insight and wisdom to navigate the most delicate negotiations.

Behind and around her, smaller shapes: a tug with a shattered spine; a passenger scow, powerless, [...]

“Commander,” Jevlak said, “we’re receiving a signal on civil emergency bands. It’s intermittent. Weak. There’s a structure to it, but the carrier’s very poor.” “Origin?” Parr asked from her seat next to the captain, her voice even, neither alarmed nor dismissive. “Bearing [...]

Pilgrims: Departure from Framheim
USS Farragut
Ayres, who had been awake for quite a while without admitting it to himself, kept his eyes closed and let the soundscape flow around him: the deeper undertone of the environmental systems and the soft, even rhythm of Parr’s breathing against his shoulder. He had long since learned not to mistake [...]

There was a kind of blue stillness to the lights on the bridge when the hymn came through. Freighters were happiest that way – soft, uneventful – the artificial dusk persuading everyone that the next twelve hours would be as plain as the last twelve. Captain Ireton had long believed in [...]
