The USS Chawla was sent to the Cait region to look into reports of Kzinti raiders becoming more prominent along the shipping lanes.

Having dealt with the raiders and after tense negotiations with the local Kzinti leadership. The Chawla finds themselves running into a mysterious dead space.

For the last several weeks the Chawka and its crew have been slowly probing this mysterious phenomenon, looking for a weakness, an opening to send a message or better yet a way to depart the region.
