While charting the newly discovered Shackelton Expanse, the USS Galileo intercepts a faint distress call.  The sources appears to be coming from a lifeless and heavily damaged shuttle. But as the crew discovers, the vessel and it’s sole occupant are an enigma. They exist on no known Federation database.

What begins as a simple rescue mission quickly turns into a diplomatic and ethical challenge as Captain Tindal wrestles with the ghosts of her past.
