The removal of The Shroud gives the Challenger and her crew the chance to do what they were always intended to do: explore strange new worlds. 

During her exploration of the Shakelton Expanse, the Challenger detects an unusual energy signature in a system the sensors say is uninhabited. Unable to resist the mystery, Captain Rix orders the Challenger to investigate.

But some uninhabited worlds are not quite what they seem.
