Elias sighed and rubbed his eyes, this has been the fiftieth attempt on finding a shield modular device or setting that could work inside the apertures, to ignore all other entities and ever changing variables as new reports have suggested. Elias has went thru a spectrum of possible combinations yet it seems when they simulate it, the shuttle itself would fall apart and become a space junk.

Elias waved his hands in front of him which had a holographic board that was filled with equations and theories on how to modify the device. So far, no luck. “Zion, you got any idea on which combination which we will use next? We got nothing so far, the variables are changing too fast, the systems can’t keep up. The calculations are always a second off…”

Elias then jumped from his seat and shouted, “I got it! We just need to make the device ever changing! We can’t limit it to our own dimensional space but instead make it a device that can change it self-based on its surroundings. Does that make sense to you, Z?”

As soon as Elias mentioned the idea of what seemed to be an adaptive shield array, that would not only adapt to its surroundings, but continually adjust its own parameters. He began to instantly speculate on a possible solution.

"YES" Zion shouted, proclaiming "I have an idea, a possible solution to our dilemma!" He began to explain. "What if we used some of the borg technology, specifically schematics dedicated to their ability to adaptation and procedural evolution." Zion reminded Elias “If you recall. We we're all taught as part of the universal curriculum at the academy, about the borg, specifically on their adaptability and evolutionary capabilities.”

Zion then proposed "In order to accomplish this, we will need to access some borg technical data. The only problem is, we don't have access to that data. The closet solution I can think of, is convincing one of our superior officers, to give us that data, in order to proceed with the mission." Zion said with confidence "I am sure there must be at least one officer who'd be interested in helping us".

Zion then yawned and said to Elias "It's getting late, we should retire to our quarters and then reconvene in the science department, first thing tomorrow morning. Scout out a science officer who might be able to help us with our science project." Zion then remarked "I have a good feeling about this."

Elias looked at Zion and said, “Huh, they did add the curriculum after all… I thought only the engineers get that part. Anyways we should get some rest and continue tomorrow with our work. We are almost close to finding the correct modulations and systems that can protect our shuttle while we do an away team mission. I think we’re going to need a physician on board, saying that the ride might get bumpy but no worries the automated systems will be continuing on the mission if ever.”
