Mira had listened to the captain, and he was making perfect sense. She knew that you should probably bring her family aboard the Paso Robles. He had no idea how Ayn or the girls would take the news. He was on a good shift with a good crew and they had friends there so it was really hard to know for sure how they would react.

She imagined the girls would be excited but wouldn’t want to leave their friends, but she assumed in the end that they would want to go nonetheless so they could all be a family again.

And even though she would admit it to others she was really sad that they weren’t with her on the Paso Robles. And now that the captain was insisting on it she had no problem trying to convince him to take the assignment.

Deep down she helped Reeve was okay with the idea of being removed from the chief operations officer position, but this was a good opportunity because they would put them on the day shift indefinitely you’d still be able to help out and operation but he would primarily be just kind of like her but a 2nd first officer while in this case Second Officer.

Mira hesitating for a moment, thinking to herself, that she needed to compose herself and be dignified. Because her first reaction was to blurt it out and be super excited. But she was a first officer she was a mother and she was supposed to show strong will of demeanor and decorum.

Mira sat down in front of the desk, and she opened a channel with the USS Amica, the girls and him should all be home. More than likely the girls were probably working on homework, since dinner was over really dedicated about an hour each day to homework. So the girls are probably enjoy the interruption to their normal mundane routine.

Ayn was surprised he wasn’t expecting a call from Mira, but he had a big warm smile on his face as he opened the channel. “I was expecting to hear from you for another day, what do I owe for the pleasure of this call?”

“Funny you use those exact words, how about a transfer to the Paso Robles?” Mira said trying to hold back her excitement, and trying to be professional.

Ayn was a little surprised by her abrupt response. He’d expected a little buildup to get to what she wanted but here she was just saying it flat out.”A transfer?” Ayn asked a little surprised.

“Captain Gutierrez is offering to bring the family over and offer you the role of chief operations officer.” Mira said to him.

“I thought the Paso Robles had a chief operations officer, did something happen to your former Chief?” Ayn asked, has he looked over to Mira. In a lot of ways there are a lot of like in that fashion, he didn’t want to take somebody else’s role either.

“He’s also our Second Officer, the captain is really insistent that you join us. He wants my family to be whole so I can be the best for his officer even though he said I’m already having to hit his bachelor’s officer he’s ever had. I think you just worried about my mental state because of the fact that you guys are so far away.” Mira suggested to him as a potential reason.

Ayn wondered what the captain was really up to you, he had a sneaky suspicion that the captain was up to something and whatever it was it was in the benefit of his first officer which happened to be his wife. “I’ll have to discuss it with the girls.” He said as both girls ran over.

Liora was the first to respond. “I have friends on this ship, but I really do miss you mama.” She said being a little torn on what to do.

“I want to go, I can always keep in chat with my friends over subspace and who knows maybe I’ll meet more kids over there. But I miss you Mom and I want to see you again.” Nerrina said with big smile on her face. She really had her Mom.

“I’m pretty sure Captain Gutierrez is going to want to talk to you, but I don’t think you’re going to be able to tell him now and it sounds like the girls are mostly wanting to come, so the decision is up to you sweetheart, but I would like you came.” Mira said to him.

Both girls look at him with the loving eyes practically begging him without saying anything. He thought about it for a few minutes and then smiled as he said. “Let’s do it “

Both girls hugged their father. “Thank you Father” Nerrina said as she gave him a deep hug.

“We’re going to be while again. I missed you momma.” Liora called out excitedly. She knows she had to tell all her friends, but she was super excited to be going. At the moment she wasn’t thinking about how how hard it was going to be to say goodbye to them but on the other hand she was super excited to be seeing her mother again.

“Captain Gutierrez is going to call you, I’ll let him know that you’ve accepted his offered but he’ll officially invite you but he told me to call you first.” Mirror and suggested to me with a big warm grin on her face.

I’ve never served on a cali class before. I heard it’s definitely a workhorse of the fleet, but surprisingly spacious for its size.” Ayn ass says he looked over to Mira. Hoping that she would give some insight.

“It’s definitely a workhorse ship, and a scrappy dog at that but I like her and the crew here is awesome you’re going to fit in, all of you are going to fit in as well.

The girls had no idea what a California class starship looked like, so they started looking it up on the data pad and they were kind of little shocked at first. “That’s a strange looking ship, but you’re saying it’s more spacious than it looks. And it’s a good crew mama?” Liora asked a little skeptical.

“It is Liora, this ship and her captain are like a family and even though we’ve only been together short time feels like we’ve been together forever. Plus the captain has daughters around your age so that’s right there is already new friendships potentially.” Mira suggested to both girls.

“He does, wow that’s pretty cool. I can’t wait to meet them maybe we’ll be good friends.” Nerrina said with a warm smile.

“Well I would suggest you lady start packing, cuz we don’t want to keep your father waiting and transfer vessels are a pain in the butt to schedule. Just remember it’s only for a couple of days to get from where you’re at to where we’re at, in a transport vessel.” Mira pointed out to both girls nobody in their family like to transport vessels.

“I understand mom, I’ll try to keep my complaining to a minimum.” Liora said trying to stomach the idea that they’re going to have to go into transport vessel again. As her mom had suggested she was not a fan of them.

Ayn also did not like transport vessels, but it was more of an adult and more mature about things and he could tolerate it for a few days.

Nerrina didn’t care what loose or obstacles she had to go through, as long as they’re Mom, she got to see her mom so if she had to be in a transport vessel for a few days, so be it.

The scene starts to fade away with the three of them talking about the upcoming move and talking to Captain Gutierrez’s and how excited all the girls were and how excited he was.

Location: USS Paso Robles, T’Shan’s Quarters

T’Shan walked into her quarters, and went over to her walking meditation pad that he had it was just a little pillow top pad he started to practice meditation when she heard her door intercom system go off. She wondered what lira wanted with her right now. They just had lunch together and she already expressed her feelings now she wanted to meditate on it. But clearly that wasn’t going to be the case. She gently wiped her knees as she stood up and walked over towards the door. “Enter.” T’Shan called out and she waited for her unexpected guests to walk in the doors.

“Commander, I was expecting to see you today. Is everything all right?” T’Shan asked, and she looked over to Mira.

“I’m sorry for bulging in like this, but I wanted to see how you’re doing.” Mira suggested to her comment sensing earlier that it seems like her husband was a little distracted but maintain her level of professionalism and within parameters of her duties but part of her job wasn’t just to make sure that officers can do their duties and she also had to make sure that they were doing okay.

“I am doing well, as a humans would say what do I owe the pleasure of this visit?” T’Shan asked and she said to get directly down to business.

“I just wanted to make sure you’re okay, I can censor earlier from your emotions that you seem to be a little distracted. I’m not saying you didn’t perform your duties admirably because you did in fact you’re probably the most focused when it comes to duties person I have on the bridge crew. But part of my job isn’t to just make sure that you’re performing your duties well but I care about you guys. And relax I only did a surface scan I didn’t dig into your thoughts. I would never violate your trust like that.”

“I understand, and thank you for your concern. I am working out my distraction as you call it. It will not affect my ability to carry out my duties.” T’Shan simply said in response to the Commander’s inquiry.

“I have no doubt of that, my reason for coming here is more of a personal matter as first officer it is my responsibility to make sure that my crew is good. And even though you haven’t professionally given me any reason to be concerned, I just want to make sure that I reach out and acknowledge your concerns.”

“I understand, my issues have to deal with me having a slight crush as the humans would say on a potential mate drama the complication comes in the fact that he’s not Vulcan. Do you wish to proceed in conversation regarding this topic with me?” T’Shan after she waited for Mira to decide.

“I understand, and if you feel comfortable I would love to talk to you about this. But it sounds like you already have somebody in mind so I don’t want to intrude too much. But like I said if you want me to I’m more than happy to talk to you about this.” Nearest suggested that she waited for T’Shan to respond to the inquiry.

“Emotions for my people as you know are really hard to regulate and I haven’t hers my thoughts, I was debating about doing it after this deployment. So I’m not sure if I should react on my emotions. I’m also not sure if the person in question even has any feelings towards me.” T’Shan said as she tried to looking at this from a logical perspective.

“Emotions have a strange way of making you look at the world or in this case the universe in a unique way. Versus logic teaches you to look at the facts and to go in with an open perception. Emotions can sometimes cloud your perception and force you into a particular direction.” Mira started to say as she started thinking about how she wanted to proceed forward.

“I would concur with that, commander. I guess it’s the uncertainty of not knowing if the person in question has feelings towards me. I am Vulcan and they are after all not Vulcan. So I don’t know if there’s any concerns regarding that for the other partner plus the other person doesn’t know so it’s a lot of what ifs. And to be honest it’s almost paralyzing me with fear.” T’Shan suggested to Mira.

“The only way to conquer fear is to face fear. Even if he rejects you, that’s a part of life. But there’s also a good possibility that the person might feel the same about you. My suggestion is to let them know, and see what happens. You have logic on your side and you have logic to help you get through whatever happens next. Plus you’ll have me as well. And you have, Lira I know she’s your best friend.

“That is very kind of you to say and I will definitely take your offer up on that if that situation does occur. I am hopeful that the person in question will be receptacle to my advance. Also my culture is customary for the females of our culture to pursue the males.” T’Shan pointed out to her.

“I can’t order you to talk to him, but I can strongly suggest that you do so. I think it’s the only way you’re going to find any resolution that logically you can accept.” Mira suggested to her.

“I appreciate your input and your candor on this topic and I appreciate the fact that you discussed it with me in private.” T’Shan said what’s a sincere tone with almost a little bit of motion in her voice.

“As I previously stated I’m here to help my crew that means all of them including you. I’m sorry that I interrupted some of your personal time but I felt like this was a topic we needed to have. And I appreciate you being open to the idea of it.” Mira advised her, trying to be an emotional and logical in her approach.

“I understand commander, and I do want to relay to you my gratitude for your interest in my situation. I appreciate the fact that you are concerned for my emotional well-being.” T’Shan said, thinking to herself it was really nice of Mira, she appreciated the fact that she cared enough to come out and talk to her.

“Is my pleasure I’m and I’m hopeful that maybe I gave you some insight and a possible course of action. Now of course the decision is yours and I will respect it thank you for your time, Ensign T’Shan.” Mira said after you slightly bowed to show proper respect and Vulcan culture.

T’Shan return the bow and give a proper Vulcan sign. “I appreciate ev

erything you’ve done today, live long and prosper, Commander.” T’Shan said as a scene starts to fade away.
