As they arrive in the Draken system they go toward a moon and visit what Sam called her programmer. Inside the ship we see Simon in the captain chair with Aurora sitting next to him. “We are here wherever here is.” She interjects. Suddenly a starship appears and hails USS Bakersfield. Simon picks up the hail and on the screen is another humanoid looking being with long slender brown hair and it starts speaking to them.

“USS Bakersfield this is Stark, the outpost disappeared didn’t it.”

Simon asked, “Do you know where to look for it?”

Stark replied, ” Only three places it could of gone besides here and they are the Shackleton Expanse, the ten finger nebula, oh sorry short sight on my part, they never told me the third.”

Simon pondered those words. “Thanks for the help, can you release Sam from this so we can go find the outpost?” After the question Simon stood waiting on a answer.

Stark replied one final time, “Will do and she is released from that part of returning here when it disappears like that.” Then the starship Stark was on disappears.

Simon sat down putting his hand in his lap and just typed something on the keypad. As we zoom out we see Aurora finally getting ready to speak to Simon. Then we zoom to science station and 2BB is hard at work scanning the starship in the viewscreen and it seems like it’s a Defiant class starship specification in her scanners and it comes with all the hull markings of a Defiant but that can’t be only one is known to exist in StarFleet. During the exchange with the captain she picked up something unusual readings from the warp signature. As we zoom back out to the bridge crew.

As the bridge crew seems to stumble upon a mystery of their own origin for this new journey to the Shackleton Expanse and beyond but there is a mystery to be solved on where that ship came from.

“That ship was not of Starfleet origin captain sensors indicated.” 2BB says. Simon gave her a look she hasn’t seen since they put the crew together for the shakedown cruise. Simon gets up and goes to 2BB side and looks at the readings and has shown a surprise look on his face. Keeping head strong he “10 I need you on the bridge.” Then he goes to his captain’s chair and tells 2BB “Start looking into this I want answers before we go blasting off anywhere else.” Everyone noticed 2BB going to work on the station and in minutes comes up with a answer after looking through the Shackleton Expanse database. “Sir, I found a connection between a hidden starship and the Shackleton Expanse.” As the captain hears this he jumps from his seat and goes over to the console to see if there is some mistake. Taking twice as long as 2BB to go through it and he comes to the same conclusion the Shackleton Expanse is the next best lead not the ten finger nebula. Simon then went back to the captain’s chair and started tapping on the chair in frustration. The body language of Simon changes and Aurora notices starts to speak and nothing comes out.

10 of 80 finally comes to the bridge, “Yes captain you called?”

Simon stands up and addresses 10 “Yes, I need you to help 2B with figuring out where the starship went and make sure Sam helps too.”

Sam hearing this “Captain, I picked up a slight variation in your voice, captain anything wrong?”

Simon hearing this says nothing and gets back to ordering more tests and asking for advice from others as this just became a mystery of great importance. Did someone trick Starfleet into their plot of control or is something more nefarious at heed here. The crew needs to know.

Sam asking the same question finally gets a response from the captain. “Sam, what is your programming on Stark?”

Sam was taken aback and said “I just follow that program in emergency and didn’t have a choice in the matter either, I have 4 programs like that and don’t know why then it deletes it self I found but can’t do anything else with it.”

Simon said “That’s good to know, keep a eye on your programming and let me know if we can help you.”

Sam put on the screen he was looking at in small letters “will do”.

As the ship lurches forward, they start heading toward Framheim Station at warp due to still having a mystery on their hands.
