The banging, the footsteps, the loud sounds as drones are trying to pour into the room. Behrad had done his job to disable the door of the room. “This won't hold it for long. We need to get out of here and in range of the Tokyo so they can transport us back!” He looked back at the team. They were not in the best condition, which was an understatement.

Viamame managed to stabilize the severe wound that Ko had received from one of the drones. “Captain, you lost a lot of blood. I need to get you off this cube and into a sickbay quickly." With that said, she helped Ko back onto her feet, feeling the weight of the weak Captain on her shoulders. “Come on, you can do this.” She looked at her side, seeing Yozria still in shock on the floor. “Lieutenant,” She spoke in her direction.

Staring into the void, her face was covered with blood that was splashed off Ko onto her. She felt her body shaking severely and couldn't do much against it. She had a heavy headache drilling into her head as she kept hearing her voice. Furthermore, she didn't know what to do. Was it all for nothing? Was their effort pointless?

“YOZRIA!”

The mentioning and screaming of her name made Yozria look toward Viamame, holding the Captain with shoulder support. “ Ye…yes…..Yes?” She didn't know why, but the only word that came out was stuttering.

“I know this is a traumatic experience for you, but this is now a hostile area. I need you to focus. I know it is challenging, but you are our last hope.” Viamame was not going to sugarcoat the situation. They were in a difficult and tight spot. “Lieutenant Vahdat, help me with supporting the Captain. I can barely move. Right now”

A chuckle came from Ko. “Are…you saying…I am fat.” A weak smile came from her.

“No time for jokes, Captain. Let us get back to safety,” She replied sternly. “Vahdat?"

A moment of doubt came over Behrad as he finally stepped to them and took the other arm to lift Ko up. “We need to move to the other side. The Borg dysfunctional orders have directed them to this side of the room. I am still surprised that the drones here didn't get active.” He was pretty surprised about it as they started to move.

Then, a few drones started to get active behind them from their hibernation modus. “Why….why would you do that, Lieutenant” Viamame stated, seeing the drones getting active. “Move, move!” She ordered. She was grabbing the collar of Yozria and pulling her quickly up to her feet. “Move, Yozria now…” and pushed her before them. "Use your tricorder and find a straightforward way to the outer framework.

“But what if they find us on the roads I gave?” Yozria was starting to get paranoid. “If they find us, we all die or become part of the collective?”

Rolling her eyes, she took a deep breath. “I need you to focus, girl. I know this is a scary place, but I trust you and your skills to get us out of here,” Viamame spoke, trying to encourage her friend. They walked through the hallways as the scenery was gruesome, with skeletons on the ground showing their Borg implants drilled into their skull. The heat was not helping either. Viamame felt her uniform drenched with sweat but ignored it. Her concerns were with her Captain, breathing was slow, skin color was changing to pale. Viamame held her finger on Ko's neck. “Her pulse is getting lower, shit…”

“We need to keep moving. They are right behind us.” Behrad knew the situation was not in their favor. Still, he was considering the vital option, “Should we potentially consider the situation that we only endanger our situation by carrying a person that is on the verge of dying? No offense, Captain."

Ko shook her head. “It is…perfectly analytic assumption….Lieutenant” Ko manages to get out, feeling her strength leaving her body at every word she manages to get out.

She shook her head and said, “No, I am not leaving anyone behind, even if the situation states differently. Or the manual of our away team procedures states that we should enhance our chances to survive by leaving behind the weakest link.” Viamame had been in a situation like this before and would not do such a thing right now. “No, there needs to be a practical and creative solution. Ideas?"

“I just gave one, but that was declined.” Behrad shrugged, stepping forward, trying to support Ko as much as possible but weary about what was happening around him. He felt the sweat rolling down his face. “Damn, now I get a traumatic experience when entering a sauna. Borg has ruined my sauna time."

Looking panicky around, trying to navigate the team safely, “No, not that way….collapse tunnel that way.” Yozria was attempting to move forward as fast as possible. But her mind was all but focused. With every sound she heard, she looked up and around. Then she listened to the question from Viamame, “Make it engineering.” She looked in their direction, “Nanoprobes.”

Behrad shrugged and couldn't believe what she heard. “Are you joking right now? You want to turn the Captain into a drone?” Shaking his head, he said, “Come on, that would be the same answer I gave by leaving her behind.” He looked at Viamame and knew that puzzling look on her face. “You serious considering this right now?”

Viamame was running out of options, and what Yozria made some sense, mental madness…but it made sense. She looked at Ko, and her condition was getting worse with every step they took. Then back at Behrad, who was looking disapproved at her, “We might not have a choice.” Looking at Yozria, she said, “Get us to a calm location, I need time.” Viamame saw Yozria nod in her direction and started to follow her.

“We always have a choice, but this is mental.” Behrad disapproved of this, but a peak of interest was there if it worked.

They reached a safe temporary location and placed Ko down against the wall. Viamame kneeled beside her Captain and configured the nanoprobes she accidentally retrieved while trying to get the pathogen. She tapped her tricorder a bit and looked at Ko. “I can reverse the Borgfication…..but I don't know how fast this will go.” Looking at Behrad and Yozria, “We need to move immediately to the outer frame….no time.” They both nodded at her.

She took a deep breath as she looked at Ko, who was barely holding her focus. “Hold on, Captain, here we go.” She pressed the injection device against her neck and shot the transferred nanoprobes into her Captain's body. “Let's move,” Viamame gave the order directly.
