Part of Bravo Fleet: Nightfall

USS Hikaru Sulu

Against the Dying of the Light

Isolated, Overwhelmed, Alone - the crew of the USS Hikaru Sulu faces the threat Vanduwaar Supremacy singlehanded, with their only hope to unite those divided by hatred and age old enmity to come together for the common good.

Mission Description

“Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.”
Dylan Thomas – 1947

Cut off from the rest of Starfleet by the Blackout enveloping the territory around the former Demilitarized Zone, Captain Raveen Shavda and her crew find themselves with the ultimate Command & Control asset, with no other ships to coordinate.

Faced with the prospect of certain defeat by an enemy who can strike at will and then retreat into the shadows of the Multicursal Labyrinth of Subspace apertures, Raveen must seek to unite the warring settlers of the former DMZ, both Terran and Cardassian, peoples who harbor deep hatred for each other and hold no love for Starfleet in equal measure.

With peace only possible through diplomacy, the only option available to prevent war and outright destruction may lie in the impossible choice to strike a Faustian – bargain & enlist the aid of one of the most dangerous enemies that the Union or Federation has known in recent times.

The Sword of Damocles hangs above the heads of all, can the crew of the USS Hikaru Sulu win the day, before the fragile thread breaks?
