With the Blackout occurring throughout the Alpha and Beta Quadrants, the once reliable communication grid that connected everyone is either offline on long distance, or barely working on short distance. Hecate Station and Archanis Station decide to go back to their roots, lay the groundwork of a communication relay line going from the Grim Wall, pass Betreka Nebula, into the Archanis region.
